Architectural concept and artistic devices:
Women's clothing stores 'Elena Miro' and 'Fashion Town' is located in downtown Kiev in an old building with rich history. The first floor is occupied by 'Elena Miro, store and basement – by 'Fashion Town' store. The 1-st floor space is a spacious hall with very high ceiling. Due to this fact 'Elena Miro' store interior looks bright and airy. The in-store equipment desks are located on the store perimeter and are suspended from the ceiling on ropes. Thus, the effect of lightness and weightlessness is reached in the store interior. The walls light tone enhances this effect, whereas olive color creates the feeling of comfort and makes the entire space look to advantage.
'Fashion Town' and the store are in the basement floor. The key solution here for the interior are dome-shaped brickwork ceiling. This architectural element is a counterpart of the building. It was supplemented by a brickwork on the walls. To remove the 'semi-basement' effect, the walls and ceiling are painted white, and a large number of LED profiles are used in the lighting. Thus, the interior of the store and Fashion Town were made to be very bright and cosy.
